Angela Mendoza Obituary

Angela Antonia Roa Mendoza, 51, of Mexia, Texas passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Baylor Scott and White hospital in Waco, TX with her family by her side. A visitation and memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services.  A graveside will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Mexia Cemetery.  The family will meet at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. to go in procession. 

Angela was born on January 3, 1970 to Antonia Roa Castillo and Angel Pedro Lara in The Domican Republic. She had a total of 10 siblings. When she was 8 years old, she moved to New York with her father where she attended grade school and graduated high school. She then went on to pursue her passion and earned her degree in interior design. She was the mother to three children Victor Manuel Mendoza, Melissa Mendoza, and Ariel Pimienta. 

Angela will be especially remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, devoted member to Arca de Refugio Aic and a great friend. Angela enjoyed spending time with her two granddaughters, Ariana Green and Khendel Mendoza. During her free time, she loved to cook and would always surprise her friends with her delicious food. She enjoyed crafting her own decor and spending time in her garden. She will always be remembered for her unselfish love and care for others as well as her strong will to live until the very end. Her memory will forever live on through her family and beloved friends throughout the community. 

Her survivors include her parents Antonia Roa Castillo and Angel Pedro Lara; her three children Victor Mendoza of Belton, Melissa Mendoza of College Station, and Ariel Pimienta of Mexia; brothers Edwardo Lara, Angel Aneudi Lara, Guillermo Sanchez, Miguel Suazo Roa, Osvaldo Suazo Roa, Juan Luis Suazo Roa, Miguel Angel Suazo Roa; sister Elizabeth Lara, Blanca Julia Suazo Roa; three grandchildren Ariana Green, Khendel Mendoza and Alayah Nicole Watson. 

She was preceded in death by her brother Francisco Lara.
