Barry Shane Martin

Barry Shane Martin, 56 of Pt. Enterprise, passed away on December 11, 2022, at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco.  Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at Point Enterprise Cemetery with Reverend Justin Colquette officiating.  There will be no formal visitation prior to the service.

Mr. Martin was born on May 16, 1966, in Wortham, Texas to W.A. (Dub) & Weita Ann Wright Martin.  He graduated from Mexia High School in 1984 and recently retired from the Mexia State School, after 25 plus years. 

Barry had a passion for science fiction, history and movies.  He enjoyed during his free time putting together model ships, cars, etc.  His unique sense of humor kept the family laughing.  Needless to say there was never a dull moment at Meme’s house. 

Barry was preceded in death by his loving mother, Weita Ann Martin and father, W.A. (Dub) Martin; grandmother, Phara Wright; grandfather, Dowey Wright; aunts, Patsy Huckaby & Wanda Lamb; uncles, Donald Wright & Harold (Bud) Wright.  He is survived by his four brothers, Scotty Wadle & wife, Cindy, Mark Wadle, twin brother, Garry Martin and Kelly Martin; two nieces, Tracy Wadle and Krissy Jackson & husband, James; aunt, Peggy Wright; lifelong friend, Jay Reel, as long as numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.
