Bonnie “Jeanette” Whittington passed away peacefully at hone surrounded by family on January 12,2022, in Groesbeck.
Jeanette was born September 26,1943 to Abner and Lucille (Robinson) Holmes, in Mexia, Texas. She was the youngest of three girls. She grew up in the Limestone County area.
In her adult years she had various job titles and responsibilities. The one that put a true calling on her heart was providing various therapies to children with mental and physical disabilities. She gained many bonus kids and extended family during this time. Jeanette had a huge impact on so many, but would not take any recognition on her scarifies to make sure her “babies” were taken care of.
Jeanette was proceeded in death by her parents Abner and Lucille Holmes. Her sisters Faye O’Pry and Billie Jo Pollock. Her children Danny Whittington, Karen (Jones) Flanary, and Baby James Whittington. Her grandchildren Lesa and Brooke Jones.
She is survived by her children Tammy (Kevin) Stoughton of Belton, Tx. Sharon Green of Mexia. Her grandchildren Leonard (Christina) Stewart of Mexia. Kristi (Brian) Wiley of Groesbeck. Michael (Tabitha) Whittington of Teague. Bonnie (Mike) Easley of Soda Springs, Idaho. Todd (Alexis) Grissam of Conroe. Elizabeth Grissam of Teague. She is also survived by 13 Great grands and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Details will be made available closer to time.
