Brandi Martinez

Brandi Nicole Martinez, 45 of Mexia, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Mexia, with Kip Stuver officiating.  Interment will follow at Pt. Enterprise Cemetery.  Family visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services. 

Brandi was born on February 15, 1976 in Mexia, Texas to Billy Patterson & Anne Jones Patterson.  In her youth, she was active at First Baptist Church, helping with Sunday School.  She graduated from Mexia High School in 1995.  Her boys, Blake & Ryan, were her world and the loves of her life.  She loved the holidays and couldn’t wait to get her tree up every year. 

Brandi was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Charlene Patterson and Marie Jones; cousins Adam Gordon, Michael Gordon and Landon Rusnak; uncle, Larry Paul Jones and father-in-law, Dionicio Martinez.  She is survived by her sons, Blake & Ryan Martinez of Mexia; mother, Anne Jones Patterson of Mexia; father and step-mother, Billy & Medra Patterson of Fairfield; brother & sister-in-law, Michael David & Marcia Lamb of Hilltop Lakes; grandfather, Billy Jack Patterson of Mexia; niece, Myka Kristine and great nieces, Olivia & Isabella; mother-in-law, Theresa Martinez; step-sisters, Haley Plemons and Emily Plemons, as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and other extended family. 

Serving as pallbearers are Blake Posey, Ty Bechtel, Cody Lamb, Matt Kuehn, Matthew Hall, Josh Martinez and Mason Beard and Ben Jones.  Honorary pallbearers are Kip Stuver and Chris Jones.
