Carl Wayne Allcorn Obituary

Carl Wayne Allcorn (Gee), 68 of Munger / Coolidge, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, Texas.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Methodist Church of Coolidge with Pastor Michael Hensley, officiating.  Interment will follow at Coolidge Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services. 

Wayne was born on August 10, 1955 to Robert and Joyce Allcorn.  He met Angie in 1978 when he went to work for her dad.  It was love at first sight for hm and he knew he would marry her someday.  They were married on January 28, 1985 and were blessed with four sons.  He worked for Lone Star Seating until it closed in 1987.  He later worked for Double “J” Feed & Supply until he & his father-in-law reopened the business.  He was a beloved son, brother, friend, husband, daddy, Big Daddy, as known by his grandchildren. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angie; their sons, Carl Heath Allcorn and wife, Kris, James Logan Allcorn and wife, Angel of Coolidge, Texas, Dalton Thomas Allcorn and wife, Linda of Bardwell, Texas; bonus son, Armando Hernandez of Coolidge, Texas; granddaughters, Holly Brooke Allcorn, Abbey Jo Allcorn, Jayde Louise Allcorn, of Coolidge, Texas; grandsons, James Logan Allcorn, Jr. (L.J.), Jensen Link Allcorn of Coolidge, Texas, Dakota Leonidas Allcorn and Charlie Alexander Allcorn of Bardwell, Texas; sister, Linda Sue Lueke of Chalk Bluff, Texas; a host of nieces and nephews, especially Tiffany Duke of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Drew Jacobs of Coolidge, Texas and Sam Jackson of Sugar Land, Texas, who spent countless hours playing 42, spades, family feud, monopoly, as well as various other board games with him; also his fur babies, especially Lobo, his wolf dog. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joyce Allcorn; brother, Warren (Buddy) Allcorn and his son, Dakota Dan Allcorn.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, hunting, traveling and antiquing/thrifting with Angie and her sisters.

Serving as pallbearers are Heath Allcorn, Logan Allcorn, Dalton Allcorn, Armando Hernandez, Drew Jacobs and Sam Jackson.  Honorary pallbearers are L.J. Allcorn, Leo Allcorn, Jensen Allcorn, Alexander Allcorn, Bradley Snelson, Michael Snelson, Joshua Lueke and Kenny Hutchison.

The family request that memorial contributions in Mr. Allcorn’s name be made to the youth department of The First Methodist Church of Coolidge.
