Charles Steven Kalal, 64, passed away on April 7, 2025, in Wortham, Texas. Born on April 13, 1960, in Berwyn, Illinois, Chuck lived a life marked by dedication to his work, deep faith, and love for his family.
Chuck spent many years building a career at Nicor before continuing his professional journey with ComEd. After retiring from the energy industry, he found renewed purpose and joy in teaching students at Wortham High School. His time there brought him great fulfillment and meaningful connections that enriched his later years.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Patty; his children Abby (Darin) Gerike, Emily (Matt) Huber, Sam (Clint) Underwood, and Casey (Cory) Kalal; and his cherished grandchildren Brantley, Tenly, Quinn, Adalyn, Avery, Lane, and Penelope.
