Claude Allen "Bigun" Knight, 55, of Mexia, passed away on March 18, 2020 at his residence. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Prairie Grove Cemetery with James Murphy & Bro. Mookie, officiating. Family visitation will be held Saturday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Ruben Rodriguez, Chris Godwin, Stuart Ellis, Kevin Jones, Zach Zerkle & Andy Day. Honorary pallbearer is Ron Day.
Claude was born on November 22, 1964 in Liberty, Texas to Claude Eugene Knight & Dorothy Medlock. He enjoyed being outdoors, going fishing and riding motorcycles. A hobby of his was going to benefits, he always loved to help someone in need. He was very involved in charity benefits and he worked with the NEWS & Brotherhood of Bikers to form the Toys For Tots program. He also quietly helped by feeding local homeless people. He was a true friend to the whole community.
He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Eugene Knight; step-dad, James Narcisse; grandmother, Mattie Gray; grandfather, John Wesley Gray and sister, Priscilla Ann. He is survived by his wife, Debi Holland of Mexia; sons, James Allen Knight & wife, Audra of Mexia and John Claude Knight of Mexia; daughters, Angela Rene Godwin & husband, Chris of Kingman, Arizona, Alexandria Holland & husband, Stuart Ellis of Waco and Lauren Anderson & husband, Casey; mother, Dorothy Medlock of Mexia; brother, Manuel Eugene Knight & wife Miranda of Louisiana; sissie, Deanna Faglie & husband, JJ of Mexia, as well as five grandkids, Claude James Knight, Luther Allen Knight, Lilyanna Holland, Carter Ellis and Carson Anderson.
