Mr. Isham was born in Houston, Texas on January 30, 1947 and spent most of his life in and around Teague, Mexia and Dallas. After high school, David served his country in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968. After the service, he spent a lot of his career in truck driving, starting in the 1980’s. After retirement from driving a commercial truck, he worked for Auto Zone and Long Industries. His last job was for LaSalle Corrections escorting the medical staff as they made their rounds. He earned their respect as he boldly let everyone know he was a Christian man, including those who were incarcerated there. Many called him Paw Paw.
David loved to cook and spent many hours on FB searching out recipes and then trying them out. He was an excellent cook. His favorite thing to do was fish and take things apart and NEVER put them back together.
