David Lewis Obituary
David Lewis, 63, passed away on March 7, 2020 in Waco, Texas. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel, with family & friends speaking and sharing stories.
Mr. Lewis was born on May 20, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to Jane Lewis.
There was nothing more important in this world than his children and grandchildren that he loved profoundly. Each of which have characteristics of him that will continue to bring joy and happiness for years to come. David had a deep passion for fishing and loved to catch any type of fish, but his favorite was bass. Let him find his sweet spot and he could fish all day long. A true fisherman through and through. He also truly enjoyed playing in numerous pool and domino tournaments, which he would win. He was a passionate man and would help anyone he possibly could and his personality was one loved by many and will be missed by all.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Lewis. Survivors include his four children, Darrell Lewis & wife, Yolonda of Wortham, Mackenzie Lewis-Carrizales & husband, David Carrizales of Saginaw, Rianna Lewis of Waco and Kamary Lewis of Wortham; five grandchildren, Brenna, Davion, Mikel, Ariah and Makeiah; brother, Robert Quigley of Dallas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
There will be a family meal immediately following the service at Comfort Inn & Suites, 820 W. Milam St., Mexia, Texas 76667.
