Deborah Ann Brooks

Deborah Ann Brooks, 63 of Waco, entered into rest on January 11, 2026 at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco. 

Deborah was born on January 18, 1962 in Waco, Texas to Horace & Janice Dickerson Brooks.  “Red” as she was known as, is described as laid back and go with the flow, she would be willing to do or go anywhere.  She was a great friend to all.  She loved going to the ocean and the dolphins.  Sandfest at Port Aransas was also an annual trip she looked forward to.  She also enjoyed camping.  Deborah also was very grateful to be able to take care of her parents. The highlight of her week was spending Saturday's shopping and having lunch with her mom.  

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents.  Left behind to cherish her memory is her life partner of 20 years, Vickie Hinds of Waco; brother, Ricky Brooks of Waco; nephews, Chad Brooks & wife Amber of Groesbeck, Aaron Brooks of Waco and Ty Brooks & wife, Kailey of Salado; as well as numerous great-nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. 

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
