One word that sums up our mother, grandmother, aunt……. FIGHTER. She fought every moment up until her very last breath. Juanita was a strong-willed woman with a very strong sense of family. She loved her children, grandkids and great grandkids more than life itself. She never met a stranger and touched every life she came in contact with. She lived a life of helping others. She thoroughly enjoyed her 20 plus years caring for her residents at Windsor Nursing Home. It was not just a job for her, she loved these folks like her own family. Anyone who knew her knew her amazing love for her dogs, they were her babies. Mom loved to get dressed up and enjoy a night out on the town dancing the night away with the love of her life, our daddy, Jerry Hogan. She loved to have a good time and always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafts but most of all, spending time with her family and her dogs. In her later years, one of her favorite pastimes was to aggravate my sister Boo who was her primary caregiver up until the day she went home to be with the Lord. They fought and argued but they had an amazing bond. We have a special message from mom’s grandkids: “We all have so many memories with you grandma. For instance, teaching us how to crochet, going to work with you and riding around in wheelchairs. Eating pickles and popcorn while watching movies. All of the Halloween movies and the ghost stories going across the tracks. Just being funny like putting French fries on your teeth! These memories you have made with us will last a lifetime and we are so grateful to have experienced them with you. We love you Grandma, G-ma, Sugarfoot, Neeter, Neeterbug. Stay Golden” We love you always and forever, Drake, Josey, Brooke, Kent, Hannah, Spring, Paisley, Peyton, Coy, Richard and Ollie
