Frances Carter

Frances Carter, 75 of Coolidge, entered her Heavenly home on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the Groesbeck LTC. A memorial service honoring her memory will be held on Monday, May 26, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Reverend Larry Holden, officiating.  A visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 11:30 a.m. 

Frances was born on July 31, 1949 in Mexia, Texas to Vernon & Audrey Schroeder Kennedy.  She graduated from Mexia High School.  After high school, she met the love of her life, Ronnie Carter, whom she married in 1967, a union that blessed her with four beautiful children.  They were married almost 50 years, until Ronnie’s passing in December of 2015. She was a caregiver her whole life, retiring from the Mexia State School.  She attended the First Methodist Church in Coolidge, and enjoyed being with her church family.  She also enjoyed volunteering for her community and after retiring, could often be found at the Coolidge Senior Citizens Center.  She also enjoyed baking.

Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronnie and parents, Vernon & Audrey Kennedy. 

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Rhonda Ross & husband, Mark, Jami Carter & wife, Lindsey, Carlos Figard & husband, Frank and Shandy Samaniego & husband, Brigido; Grandchildren, Hunter Ross & fiancé, Bailey, Tanner Ross, Colton Carter & wife, Dyanne, Keelynn Carter and Kyle Carter, Jonathan Carter & wife, Sharon, Luis Acevedo & wife Anabel, Matteo Acevedo, Joshuah Acevedo & wife, Jazmin and Adriana Acevedo, Laney Chavez & husband, Ricky, Baylee Samaniego, and Brigido Samaniego Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kaysen, Karsen, Kaizel, Sawyer, Oaklynn, Kique, Lani, Ayden, Olivia, Angel, Valerie, Kylie, Kyndall, Crew and Klara; brothers, Jerry Lee Kennedy & wife, Barbara and Kenneth Dale Kennedy & wife, Brenda; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
