Gail Isabella Spires

Gail Isabella Parker Spires, 67, of Mexia, TX passed away on Tuesday, July 28th, 2020. She is
survived by her husband Freddie Spires; her 4 children; son, Norberto Vega, and wife Cheryl;
daughters Nicole Miles, and husband Bubba, Stephanie Peterson, and husband Chris, Shannon
Hobbs, and husband Timmy; Also survived by her 10 grandchildren; Joshua, Devon, Breanne,
Chad, Hillary, Cody, Jenner, Viviana, Payton, Kendall, and 4 great grandchildren; Wyatt, Parker,
Summer, Ian; siblings, sister Leona Parker, and brother Leon Parker; nieces, nephews and
many other family and dear friends.

Gail was born in Brooklyn, New York to her mother Joan Parker on April 3rd, 1953. She married
Freddie Spires on February 14th, 2016 and they have spent most of their time fishing and
enjoying their life together. Gail enjoyed driving a school bus for most of her life and worked for
Groesbeck ISD where she planned to retire. Gail’s favorite things to do were to fish, spend time
outdoors, and cook. She will be greatly cherished by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Gail’s name to the Lone Star
Cowboy Church at 2244 W Hwy 4 Mexia, TX 76667

Memorial Services will be held by Shane Winters at the Lone Star Cowboy Church at 2244 W
Hwy 84 Mexia, TX 76667 on Saturday, August 8th, 2020 at 10:00am.
