Gwendolyn June Pickett, 75, passed away on December 5, 2020 at her residence in Wortham, Texas. A memorial service will be announced later in the spring.
Ms. Pickett was born on September 23, 1945 in Mexia, Texas to Claude & Ruby Shinault Pickett. She was raised in Tehuacana and was a long-time resident of Limestone & Freestone counties. She wore many hats over her lifetime; including waitressing, construction and being employed at the Mexia State School.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Kathleen Kennedy and Stormie Hall and brothers, Maynard Lamb and Roger Dale Pickett. Survivors include her son, Kenneth Hall; daughters, Elizabeth Walton and Sunni Joe Walton; granddaughters, Chloe Howerton and Megan Medrano-Silva; brother, Roy Pickett and sister, Cricket Thompson.
