Henry Vaughn

Henry Leroy Vaughn, 57 of Thornton, passed away on March 13, 2021 at Providence Medical Center in Waco.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lonestar Cowboy Church of Mexia, with Rev. Shane Winters officiating.  Interment will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Derden Cemetery near Covington. 

Mr. Vaughn was born on March 23, 1963 in Weatherford, Texas to Henry & Liller Laxon Vaughn.  He was a retired truck driver and for the last several months had been working as a mechanic at Fibrix in Groesbeck. He was the next to youngest of 21 siblings. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and 13 of his siblings, John H. Sneed, Franklin Sneed, John T. Sneed, Mollie Sneed, Irene Sneed, Roy Sneed, Imogene Sneed,  Verna Vaughn, Robert Vaughn, Leroy Vaughn, Thomas Vaughn, Helen Vaughn and one mis-carriage. 

He is survived by his wife, Tina Ary of Thornton; children, Justin Vaughn, Josh Vaughn, Jolene “Butterbean” Nash, Tabby “Tuna Fish” Miller and Jordan “Jorty-forty” Hammack and siblings, Caroline Sneed, Oscar Sneed, Nola Sneed, Wallace Sneed, Len Sneed, R.C. Sneed and Gill Vaughn 

Serving as pallbearers are Justin Vaughn, Josh Vaughn, Justin Kruse, Thad Haynes, James Mullinax and Joe Colon.
