James Allen Obituary

James Dale (Jimmy) Allen, 75 of Mexia, passed away on September 28 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bryan. A family memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced at that time.

Mr. Allen was born on December 11, 1946 in Ohio County, Kentucky to Earnest & Louvena Stewart Allen. He retired after 25 years with Jewett Mine, working in reclamation.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his son, DPS Trooper Damon Allen. Survivors include his wife, Sue; sons, Ricky & wife, Lisa, Ernie & wife, Tena, Doug & wife, Kristen; daughter, Amy Gilmore & husband, Jon; Damon’s wife, Kasey; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
