James Little

James, or as many people in his life called him Jimmy or even Pawpaw, was his favorite name.  He was loved by anyone who encountered him.  He enjoyed spending time outside and anytime he could with his family.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served four years and was a part of the Gator Crew while serving.  He was a volunteer fireman in the numerous towns in which he lived.

James was called home on May 27, 2023 in Conroe, Texas surrounded by his family.  He was born on July 12, 1945 in Teague, Texas to his mother, Imogene Benge Bond and father, Henry Little.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, Lucy Partain and daughter, Charlotte.  He is survived by his wife of 56 uninterrupted years, Carol Sue (Susie) Little of Shepherd, Texas; brother, Johnny Little of Temple, Texas; his children, sons, James Little & wife, Tina of Marble Falls, Troy Little & wife Dusty of De Kalb and Toby Tollier of Corsicana; daughters, Vanessa Tidwell & husband, Jeffrey of Shepherd, Casey Windell & husband, Sam of Cleveland and Crocia of Corsicana; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and catch me kids who he loved very much. 

A visitation for James will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 3-5 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services.  Mr. Little will be cremated afterwards.
