Jameson Brooks Lummus

Our cherished baby boy, Jameson Brooks Lummus, given to us on August 28, 2024,

climbed into the arms of Jesus on May 15, 2025. Our family was not prepared to lose our

precious baby so soon, but we are eternally grateful for every beautiful moment we had

with him.

Jameson was a bundle of joy that has blessed our family. He had the most amazing blue

eyes and beautiful smile, and when he stared at you, you felt it to your soul. His giggle

was infectious and his snuggles felt like home. It was through Jameson’s birth that our

family came together and we will hold him in our hearts always. He is a blessing that has

forever made our lives better as he gave us each other. Jameson’s life brought so many

people closer than imaginable and each of us will forever be grateful and will love him

for more than a lifetime. We thank Jesus for every moment we had with him, although

too brief, and we will cherish his memory every day.

Jameson is survived by his loving parents, William Blake Thorne Lummus and Hannah

Samples Thorne Lummus; sisters Oaklyn Lily Dale Lummus and Baylee Grace Lummus;

grandparents Michael and Laura Williams, John and Stephanie Thorne, and Leigh Anne

Ellett Langley; aunts and uncles Kaitlyn Samples (KK), Ty Williams, Trent Williams,

Taylor Thorne, Alyssa Thorne, Will Thorne, Kyler McClatchey; great uncle Michael

Lummus, and many other loving family members.

Jameson was preceded in death by his grandfathers William Keith Lummus, Michael

Samples, and Shannon Langley; aunt Stephanie Brooke; great-grandparents Danny and

Deborah Brooks and Harold Glenn & Eugenia Lummus.

Pallbearers are Will Thorne, Kyler McClatchy, Kade Johnson, Dayton Montgomery,

Corey Daniel, and Ethan Stark.

Services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield on Monday, May 19, 2025,

at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be Sunday, May 17, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home in Mexia, Texas,

from 5-7:00 pm. Interment will be at Prairie Grove Cemetery.
