Jimmy John Steele

Jimmy John Steele, 78 of Groesbeck, passed away on September 27, 2022 in Temple, Texas.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel. 

Mr. Steele was born on June 17, 1944 in Oletha, Texas to John Thomas & Hazel Martin Steele.  He had been in the community his whole life and was the owner/operator of Steele’s Landscaping.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas and Hazel Steele; brother, Larry Don James; sister, Carolyn Baily and grandson, Jimmy John Steele. 

He is survived by his son, JT Steele of Hewitt; daughter, Twyla Moore of Mexia; grandchildren, Shelby Steele of Waco, Joshua Moore of Mexia, Emily Moore of Mexia, Kristi Nava of Waco, Sheena Harris of Groesbeck and Keri Harris of Groesbeck; brothers and sisters, Hazel Daham of Concord, Texas, Bob Steele, Sue Brown Marvis Steele and Andy Rosoles, all of Lubbock, Danny Steele of Ben Wheeler, Texas, Judy Ludolph of Lindale, Texas and James Steele of Mexia; as well as special family friends Richard and Wendy Hileman of Mexia.
