John Ralph Quinton, Sr., 59 of Coolidge, passed away on June 27, 2020 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia after a lengthy illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Pius T. Mathew, celebrant. Interment will follow at Coolidge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Quinton was born on October 10, 1960 in Cuero, Texas to William & Josephine Zapata Quinton. He had been in the community for more than forty years. He married Juanita Banda Lira on January 16, 1984 in Groesbeck, Texas.
John is survived by his wife, Juanita Quinton of Coolidge; children, Hugo Lira of Groesbeck, Texas, Gladys Mendoza of Mexia, Texas, Maria Perez of Coolidge, Texas, John Quinton, Jr. of Mexia, Texas, Eddie Quinton of Coolidge, Texas and Josie Quinton of Waco, Texas; brother, Rey Zapata of Victoria, Texas as well as 22 grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Joe Torres, Johnathan Johnson, Carlos Mendoza, Raymond Garcia, Michael Munoz and Jr. Garcia.
