Jon Bruce Childs

Jon Bruce Childs, 53 of Mexia, passed away on June 7, 2024, at his residence.  Mr. Childs will be cremated, and a visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel. 

Jon Bruce was born January 20, 1971, in Wortham, Texas to Bruce and Regina Phillips Childs. He graduated from Mexia High School in 1989. Jon Bruce worked at Walmart in West Virginia. where he received a plaque for Employee of the Month. After moving back to Texas, he worked in construction.

Jon Bruce was preceded in death by his mother Regina Phillips and wife Paula Childs.

Jon Bruce is survived by his father Bruce Childs (Michelle). sister Tina Childs (Dillard); brother Brad Phillips and Christian Childs; son Aaron Childs (Whitney); grandchildren Alice Childs and Zeppelin Jones; stepchildren Chasity and Heather Archer, Crystal Reyes; step Grandchild Mattie; Nephew Lance Bell (Hailey and Children) Jayden Phillips and niece Jazzlyn Phillips.
