Judith Josephine Edwards, 83 of Wortham, passed away on July 31, 2021 at her residence.  A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Victory Full Gospel Fellowship in Wortham, with Reverend Mike Fautt, officiating. 

Mrs. Edwards was born on January 1, 1938 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Woodrow Wilson & Theresa Marie Von Bank Gordon.  She was well traveled and had several ventures in her career.  She owned an accounting business when she was in California.  She was also a broker in real estate.  She married Richard Edwards in 1984, in Dolan Springs, Arizona.  They moved to Wortham in the early 2000’s.  Judith served as mayor of Wortham from 2005-2009.  She also was a bookkeeper in the area, doing work for several people and the church.  She was a member of Victory Full Gospel Fellowship in Wortham. 

Judith was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Carl Stonebraker.  She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Edwards; children, Steve Warren, Kent Warren and Kimberley Reynolds Warren; sisters, Deanne Marie Gordon and Anita Don Petei Gordon, and brother, Jeffery Lynn Stonebraker.
