LaQuata Wyke Anderson

LaQuata Wyke Anderson, 48 of Mexia, passed away on November 14, 2025, at Ascension Providence Medical Center in Waco.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Alexander Chapel PBC, 201 N. Baker St., Mexia, Texas 76667l.  Interment will follow at Grove Island Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service, starting at 12:00 p.m. at the church.  

LaQuata was born on July 25, 1977, in Waco, Texas to Lewis Stone and Rose Mary Anderson.  She was in the community her whole life and had retired as a Caregiver with the Mexia State School.  She is described as a strong, independent woman, who fought a good, hard fight.  She was a mama to everyone, taking in all children as her own and caring for them.  She enjoyed food, music of all kinds and watching tv. 

LaQuata was preceded in death b her mother; her second mom, Bernice Anderson; pawpaw, Mason Thomas; sister, Yvonne Anderson and the love of her life, Timothy Hayes. 

Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Arailya Anderson of Mexia; son, Adarion Anderson of Buffalo; brothers and sisters, Keith Anderson of Waco, Katherna Vaught of Coolidge, Salina Jones of Dallas, Tammy Anderson of Mexia, LaNita Brown of Teague, Amanda Green of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Ivory Hayes-Smith and Nova Anderson; nieces and nephews, Calob Hutchison, Lacy Anderson, Agarion Anderson, Gary McQuiter, Rachel Anderson, Adam Hutchison, Aaron Anderson, Catavia Green, Cataja Green, Legacy Amador, Kendon Jackson and Kasandra Hutchison; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and special friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Adarion Anderson, Agarion Anderson, Jemyron Hackett, Gary McQuirter Jr., Adam Hutchson and Dakedrick Brooks.
