Linda Frances Smith

Linda Frances Smith, 65, of Coolidge, TX passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on July 10, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Mexia First Assembly of God, 1100 N. Ross Avenue. Mrs. Smith was born on July 7, 1953 in Memphis, TN. She married Bruce, the love of her life, in September of 1976 after less than three months of courting. The couple lived in Forney, Tx where they raised their four children: Frances, Amanda, Bruce Jr. and Sean. She was a career housewife and mother and was known for her wonderful cooking and her passion for reading. In 2002, Bruce and Linda settled in Coolidge where they established a family farm. Linda enjoyed time on the farm with all of her animals, with her cats having a special place in her heart. Linda was proceeded in death by her parents, John and Frances Arthur. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 41 years, Bruce Smith; children Frances Patterson and husband Chad of Forney, Amanda Tucker and husband Ryan of Kaufman, Bruce Smith Jr. and wife Michelle of Wortham, Sean Smith and wife Penny of Coolidge. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren: Shea Patterson, Justin Patterson, Taryn Chadwick and husband Clay, Alyssa Nichols and husband Dylan, Andrea McAngus, Bruce Smith III, Trenton Smith, Aiden Smith, Ethan Tucker, Katie Tucker and six great-grandchildren: Zayne Patterson, Brody Nichols, Cannan Nichols, Adleigh Fedrick, and two on the way, along with mother-in-law Estelle Smith, sisters-in-law Janet Presley and Cindy Urrutia, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff from Texas Home Health for the compassionate care provided to Linda as well as the immense support provided to the family.
