Lisa Ann Hodges

Lisa Ann Hodges, 62 of Groesbeck, passed away peacefully at her home on May 4, 2023.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Mexia, with Reverend Marcus Sheffield, officiating.  Interment will follow at Mexia Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service, starting at 1:00 p.m.

Lisa was born on March 23, 1961 in Dallas, Texas.  She was a registered nurse at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia and Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck.  Family and her work were her world.  She lived for her grandchildren, spoiling them every chance she could.  When she wasn’t helping people through work, she enjoyed traveling.  Lisa was very selfless and had the patience of a saint. 

Lisa was preceded in death by her daughter, Amber Johnson, mother, Jeri Lou Glover, step-father, Burly Glover, grandmother, Eunice Lundy; as well as numerous other extended family.  

Survivors include her son, Aaron Johnson & wife, Malissa of Rush Springs, Oklahoma; daughter, Alicia Rischer & husband, Jimmy of Fairfield and Brandon Johnson of Groesbeck; grandchildren, Kade, Astrid, Brycen, Kansas, Kaylin, Karli and Jaydon; great-grandchild, Lucas; sisters, Jan Day and Shea Glover; as well as numerous extended family.

Serving as pallbearers are Aaron Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Kade Johnson, Brycen Johnson, Jimmy Rischer and Jaydon Jackson.

The family ask that memorial contributions on Lisa’s memory be made to LARA’s House Animal Rescue in Mexia.
