Loretta Jean Hager

Loretta Jean Hager, 72 of Mexia, passed away on May 17, 2024 at her residence.  Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel. 

Loretta was born on June 26, 1951 in Mexia, Texas to Ercel & Kathleen Hager.  She was a lifelong resident and was a jack of all trades.  She owned and operated the Shade Tree Snow cone stand for fifteen years.  Some of her hobbies included leather and bead work.  She was and animal lover and her grandchildren were everything to her.  She looked forward to family get togethers and spending time with them. 

Preceding her in death were her parents; grandson, Aaron Gene Yerby and sister, Juanel Hager. 

Left behind to cherish her precious memories are her daughter, Kari Yerby & husband, James; grandsons, Michael Hager, Jalen Miears Logan Yerby and Gilly Yerby; granddaughters, Charlie Yerby, Devyn Yerby; great-grandson, Leon Yerby-Lopez; life long best friend, Larry Bond; brothers, Richard Hager and David Hager; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
