Lynn Nash Obituary

Mr. Lynn "Barbwire" Nash, 75, of Coolidge, passed away on September 28, 2019 at his residence with family by his side. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Coolidge Cemetery Chapel with Michael Sims, officiating. Interment will follow at Coolidge Cemetery. Family visitation will be prior to the service, starting at 1:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers are Jacob Wells, Jacob Bruckner, Justin Lester, Hunter Nash, Anthony Powell and Ronnie Robertson.

Mr. Nash was born on May 5, 1944 in Crockett, Texas to Aubie & Doris Smith Nash. When Mr. Nash was a teenager, he worked delivering telephone Books for AT&T in Houston Area. As an adult, he sold encyclopedias and dictionaries; worked in transportation Department of Houston in the towing service division; worked at Dow Chemical in Texas City; Robertson Industries in Conroe; operator for NEPCO Construction in Jewett; HL&P in Jewett; Texas Construction in Streetman; Ron's Feed Store in Coolidge; owned his own lawnmower repair shop in Coolidge; Latco Transportation in Groesbeck/Corsicana; Pegasus Transportation in Corsicana; C&L oilfield pump truck driver in Cleburne; retired in 2006.

One of his loves was playing pool and entered many tournaments in which he won many awards. He also loved to hunt and fish and was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and National Bass Fishing Association. He was also a member of Young Farmers Association. He was an excellent mechanic. He loved to dance and he never met a baby that didn't instantly love him and go right to sleep. He also loved to cook for the family. He enjoyed reading Louis L'Amour and other western books. His entire family was the center of his life.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Aubie Atmar Nash & Doris Muriel Nash-Taylor; sister, Patsy Carol Sims; grandsons, Colton Bradley Bruckner and Nolan Bradley Bruckner and brothers-in-law, Mickey Powell and Ray Robertson. He is survived by his spouse, Debbie Nash of Coolidge, Texas; Children of previous marriage, Aubie (Scooter) Nash and wife, Tammy of Coolidge and April Reyes and companion Steven Rivera of Katy, Texas; children of present wife, Bradley Bruckner and wife Tonia, and Jeffrey Nash, all of Coolidge; 16 grandchildren & 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Delora Robertson of League City, Texas, Jackie Powell of Kemah, Texas and Janice Crenshaw of Channelview, Texas and brother, James Nash of Apple Springs, Texas.
