Manuel Acevedo-Ibarra, 78 of Coolidge, passed away on July 31, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Frank Acevedo officiating. Interment will follow at Coolidge Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Acevedo was born on August, 6, 1944 in Mexico to Gregorio & Teresa Ibarra Acevedo. He was a ranch hand and was self employed as a fence contractor. He was a loving father and grandfather, who was also a jokester who liked to have a good time and make people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Elena Acevedo; mother, Teresa Acevedo; sister, Manuela Acevedo, brother, Francisco Acevedo and brother-in-law, Carlos Samaniego.
Surviving him are his children, Manuel Acevedo Jr., Miguel Humberto Acevedo, Gregorio Acevedo, Veronica Elena Fabila & husband, Orlando, Susana Acevedo and Gloria Diaz; grandchildren, Christopher Chavez, Christi Kinney & husband, Jordan, Manuel Acevedo III, Joseph Acevedo, Lupita Acevedo, Tommy Acevedo, Briana Acevedo, Orlando Fabila Jr., Santiago Fabila, Yozio Fabila, Sarah Brown, Adan Vicencio and Iram Vicencio; great grandchildren, Jazzlynn Garcia, Elijah, Xoe Cuevas, Baby Acevedo, Angel, Romana, Santiago, Grecia; brothers & sisters-in-law, Ofelia Samaniego, Pedro Acevedo & wife, Eva, Rafael Acevedo & wife, Lidia and sister-in-law, Toni Acevedo; as well as his best friend, Luis Fabila.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Chavez, Manny Acevedo, Joseph Acevedo, Tommy Acevedo, Junior Fabila, Santi Fabila, Yozio Fabila and Jordan Kinney.
