Marcus Ryan Pilkington, 46 of Mexia, passed away on November 16, 2024 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mexia First Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow at Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held an hour prior to the service, starting at 12:00 p.m. at the church.
Marc was born on December 19, 1977 in Corsicana, Texas to Waine Pilkington and Pat Bea. He graduated from Mexia High School and then attended TSCT in Waco and Hill College in Hillsboro. He was a mechanic and a talented musician, for which he had a big passion for. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, singing. He was so honored to have been a member of the All-State Baptist Choir for three years. He was an outlaw with a heart of gold and a sense of humor. “It is what it is”, was his motto that got him through all the trials of life.
Marc was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Beard Brown, Lawrence “Brownie” Brown and Robert L. Bea and great grandparents Lester R. and Rachel D. Person.
Among survivors are his mother, Pat Adams and bonus dad, Henry Duckett of Mexia; sisters, Melissa Easterling and husband, Steve of Mexia and Angie Pilkington of Denton; brother, Rance Pilkington; father, Waine Pilkington of Denton; step-brothers, Tony Adams of Mexia, Robert Adams and Daniel Adams of Granbury; sons, Seth White of Waco and Gage Pilkington of Wortham and daughters, Brooklyn Pilkington of Wortham and Ashlyn Fowler; niece, Caitlin Curry & husband James of Mexia; great niece, Miley Jo Curry and great nephew, Rhett Curry and his “crazy lady”, Tracy Cromwell of Wortham.
Serving as pallbearers are Allen Stewart, Steve McGowan, Gage Pilkington, Keith Smith, Dustin Smith and Brandon O’Neill. Honorary pallbearers are Darrell Spurlock, James Wright, Jr., Josh Fisher and Zack Zerkle.
