Margarito Jimenez

Margarito Jimenez, 74 of Mexia, entered into rest on May 23, 2025 at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mexia.  Interment will follow at Mexia Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home with rosary following at 7 p.m.  

Mr. Jimenez was born on October 17, 1950  in Mexico to Petronilo Verastegui  and Sabina Jimenez.  He is described as friendly to all and never met a stranger.  He always made new friends. He would help anyone in need and give them the shirt off his back.  He could offen be seen riding around on his scooter and at the Valero getting his coffee.  He especially loved his family and being with his grandchildren.  

Mr. Jimenez is survived by his wife, Maria Bueno of Mexia; children, Diana Villarreal of Waco, Samuel Jimenez of Longview, Joana Jara of Florida, Guillerrmo Jara of Waco, Vanessa Jimenez of Mexico and Petronilo Jimenez of Mexia; grandchildren, Abel Salazar Jr, Gabrielle Salazar, Samuel Jimenez Jr, Oziel Jimenez, Diego Jimenez, Dylan Jimenez, Elizabeth Navarro, Antonio Navarro, Antonio Navarro,  Jaqueline Navarro, Joseline Lopez, Isidro Lopez Jr, Ayden Guillermo Jara, Guillermo Jara Marin, Valentina Nino, Hector Jimenez, and Oliver Jimenez; two great-grandchildren, Abel Salazar III and Nayelie Franco.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jose Jimenez.

Serving as pallbearers are Samuel Jimenez, Petronilo Jimenez, Guillermo Jara, Tono Navarro, Abel Salazar, Jr and Ayden Guillermo Jara.
