Maria Candanoza

Maria Delaluz Candanoza, 89 of Mexia, passed away on October 17, 2020 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel. Interment will follow at Mexia Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Serving as pallbearers are Josh Zamora, Marcos Castillo, Saul Candanoza, Jose Salas, Javier Candanoza, Jr. and Teodoro Candanoza. 

Mrs. Candanoza was born on August 20, 1931 in Mexico, the oldest of eight children, to Maximino & Eustolia Mancha Rios.  She was a homemaker, making sure all of her family was well taken care of. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Candanoza; daughter, Leonor Esquivel; son, Teodoro Candanoza, and two grandchildren.  Survivors include her children, Juana Salas & husband, Alejos, Isidro Candanoza & wife, Dolores, Manuel Candanoza & wife, Guadalupe, Jorge Candanoza, Maria Molina & husband, Baldemar, Beatriz Vazquez & husband, Mauricio, Javier Candanoza & wife, Toli, Mirna Serrano & husband, Ruben and Guadalupe & husband, Larry Zamora; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family.
