Maria del Carmen Robles

Maria del Carmen Robles, 63 of Mexia, passed away on June 2, 2023 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mexia, with Fr. Moses Iyogwoya, MSP as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mexia Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services.

Mrs. Robles was born on October 5, 1959 in Valle Hermosa, Tamaulipas Mexico to Cosme Barrera Sandoval and Adela Barrera Aguirre. She had been in Mexia since November 1969.  She married Leonel Robles on August 11, 1979.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her husband, Leonel Robles of Mexia, Texas; son, Cesar L. Robles of Mexia, daughters, Cecilia V. Robles of Dallas, Texas and Patricia Lara of Mexia, Texas; grandsons, Alvaro Lara of Mexia, Mauricio Lara of Mexia, and Audra Leger of Mexia; granddaughter, Ingrid Lara of Mexia; son-in-law, Alvaro Lara of Mexia; Micaela Garcia; sister, Delia Robles and husband; brothers, Jesus Barrera & wife of Houston, Texas, Jose Barrera & wife, of Edinburg, Texas, Fidencio Barrera & wife of Humble, Texas, Alberto Barrera & wife of Pasadena, Texas, Miguel Barrera & wife, son of Benito, Texas, Jorge Barrera & wife of Dallas, Texas and Antonio Barrera & wife of Pasadena, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are Alvaro Lara, Mauricio Lara, Saul Robles, Cesar L. Robles, Antonio Barrera, Jorge Barrera, Jose Barrera and Miguel Barrera.
