Melissa Denise Peterson, 47, of Thornton, passed away on March 20, 2019 at Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church in Thornton, with Reverend Tracy Sims, officiating.
Melissa was born on January 7, 1972 in Waco, Texas to Dennis Ray & Mary Jane Barber Harbour. She was an assistant manager at the Family Dollar Store in Groesbeck.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Rice, and grandparents. Survivors include her husband, Robert Favors of Thornton; sons, Johnathan Nichols of Thornton, Steven Nichols of Waco, Jordan Peterson of Morgan Town, West Virginia and Charles Favors of Thornton; sister, Amy White of Crosby, Texas; father, Dennis Harbour & step-mother, Charmain, of McGregor, Texas; step-father, Larry Rice of Cross Plains, Texas, and step-sister, Mindy Sassman of McGregor, Texas.
