Melvin Repeki Aldan, 49 of Mexia, entered into rest on April 16, 2024 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Mr. Aldan’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the auditorium of Mexia High School. Leading the service is Pastors Carlos Daniels and Robert Cummings. Serving as pallbearers are Adan Herrera, Alvis Minter, Danny Lauderdale, Greg Nemons, Jimmy Smith, John Jones, Kevin Hyde, Samuel Jones and Willie Carroll. After the services, Melvin will be buried in his hometown in Saipan, in the Northern Mariana Islands.
Melvin was born on May 26, 1974 to Ignacio & Felecita Repeki Aldan. He married Debra Kapilco on December 26, 1997 in Saipan. He had been in Mexia since March 1st, 2020. Melvin had been employed with Mexia ISD for three years, working in ground maintenance. He was very well known and well-loved all through the school district. When he wasn’t working, some of his favorite things were fishing, baseball and cooking. His favorite, however, was spending time on weekends with his children and grandchildren. Melvin was very proud of being a boat captain.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Debra Aldan; children, Michael Delacruz & spouse, Dorraine Aguilar, Madlene Delacruz & spouse, Josue Rosas, Marleen Delacruz & spouse Diego Bubauta, Maximo Delacruz and spouse, Krystal Johnson, Melvin Aldan, Jr and spouse, Francine Palomo, Malea Aldan and spouse, Kobe Lacey, Martolin Aldan, Allen Aldan and Maria Aldan; as well as 13 grandchildren.
