Mike Wilson Obituary
Gary Michael (Mike) Wilson, also known as Big Red, passed away on April 11, 2020 at Kindred Specialty Hospital in Mansfield, Texas. A private family graveside will be held on Monday, April 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Glade Cemetery with Reverend Marcus Sheffield, officiating.
Mike was born on November 12, 1954 in Limestone County to Seth & Wilma Jean Hood Wilson. He attended the Forest Glade School for eight years and then graduated from Mexia High School, where he was a center on the Blackcat football team. He loved fishing and helping is friend, Tommy Miller, feed cows on Saturdays. He always had his faithful companion, his white poodle, Sandy by his side.
Mike is survived by his wife, Nancy Wilson of Mexia; daughter, Holly Wilson of Mexia; granddaughter, Heather Wilson of Mexia; parents, Seth & Wilma Wilson of Mexia; sister, Dianne Wilson of Mexia and brothers, Larry Wilson and Joe Wilson, also of Mexia.
