Preston Sanders

Preston Sanders, 66 of Fairfield, passed away on September 9, 2024 at Baylor Scot & White Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church of Buffalo, with Ray Grissett officiating. 

Preston was born on September 28, 1957 in Houston, Texas to James and Judy Ross Sanders.  He spent his career self employed as a carpet layer.  When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed watching sports, but especially loved watching his grandchildren play.  He is described as being a gentle, loving man with a contagious laugh and smile, with a great sense of humor.  He was a hard-working man who provided well for his family.  He loved everyone and never met a stranger and will be greatly missed.

Preston was preceded in death by his son, PJ Sanders and grandchildren, Breanna, Trevor and Raven.  He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Rosetta Sanders; daughter, Amber High and husband, Willis; parents, James and Judy Sanders; sisters, Gina Mullins and Janie Read; brother, Chester Sanders; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Sanders; grandchildren, Jordan Dawkins, Mary Sanders and Madison High; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
