Rocky Carlton Wadlington

Rocky Carlton Wadlington, 63, entered into rest at his residence in Mexia on August 26, 2025, peacefully with family by his side.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Prairie Grove Baptist Church, 2678 FM 1953, Mexia, Texas 76667, with Reverend Clifton Jones officiating.  Lunch will follow the service. Rocky was born on July 14, 1962, in Sweetwater, Texas to Lloyd Walace & Mary Louise Hyde Wadlington. 

He owned and operated JMS Electric in Groesbeck for 20 plus years.  He also traveled doing electrical work.  When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed being outdoors, bass fishing, hunting, and anything in nature.  He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Texas Rangers.  He is described as a kind, giving person who would give the shirt off of his back.  Rocky never met a stranger and loved to talk to everyone.

Rocky was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Wadlington and niece, Nicole Barker.  Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Michelle Wadlington of Mexia, daughters, Jamie Fesperman and husband, Don of Seguin, Texas and Megan Barnes of Groesbeck, Texas, son, Sinjin Wadlington and wife, Rebecca of San Antonio, Texas, grandchildren, Tayla, Chase, Alyssa, Miranda, Makenna, Adison, Emma, Bryden and Sophia, mother, Mary Wadlington of Groesbeck, sister, Vanessa Nicholson and brother, James Wadlington and wife, Debbie.
