Sharon Diane Calame, 70 of Wortham, passed away on August 12, 2022 at her residence. Sharon was born on October 10, 1951 in Corsicana, Texas to Roy Alvis Calame, Jr. & Hazel Dene Calame. She had been in the community her entire life and spent 23 years employed at the Mexia State School.
Ms. Calame was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffery Dale Calame, paternal grandparents, Gertrude Calame and Roy Calame, Sr and maternal grandparents, Winnie & Millard Hosea.
Survivors include her daughters, Kasie McGowan & husband, Micheal of Wortham and Jamie Nibbe & husband, Andy Teague; step-son, Mitchell Utsey & wife, Bailey of Santa Rosa, California; brothers, Ricky Calame & wife, Marsha of Wortham and Rodney Calame & wife, Pam of Mexia; grandchildren, Kara Lara of Wortham, Justin Hargis and James Hargis of Teague, Natalie Nibbe of Teague and Marcus Utsey; great grandchildren, Malcom McGowan of Teague and Harlie Gonzales of Wortham; nephews, Bryan Calame and Cody Calame and niece, Sarah Simpson & husband, Evan.
Per Ms. Calame’s wishes, she will be cremated and no services will be held.
