Tammy Yolanda Wilkins

Tammy Yolanda Williams, 59 of Mexia, passed away on August 23, 2024 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, Texas.  Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel.  Mark Grabs officiated.  Interment followed at Sardis Cemetery in Jewett. 

Tammy was born on March 12, 1965 in Humble, Texas to Glenn Young & Lona Hastings Young.  She married Anthony Wilkins on May 15, 1983 in Jewett, Texas.  They had been in the Mexia area since 1982.  She was in direct care at the Mexia State School for 15 years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mexia.  She enjoyed going to Sunday School, cooking for friends & family, and going to the race track with dad.  She enjoyed vacations and holidays. 

Tammy was preceded in death by Glenn Young, Kenneth Young, Phillip Young, Lona Young and Ashley Diane Wilkins. 

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Anthony Wilkins; daughters, Amber Wilkins and Lacie Wilkins, and granddaughter, Harmony Boyd. 

Serving as pallbearers are Jeremy Brooks, Johnny Ruiz, Chris Dunbar, Carm Hoyne, Robby Stewart and Greg Gafford.
