Tommie Maxine Dyer, 91 of Corsicana, passed away on December 4, 2025, at the Avir at Corsicana Nursing and Rehab Center, peacefully surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery with Pastor Eric Larson officiating.
Mrs. Dyer was born on November 2, 1934, in Union High (Limestone County) to Pete & Dorothy Sawer Adams. Maxine was a hard worker. She worked for Adams Hats, and Haggar Slacks for many years. She loved shopping at Walmart and loved driving her car. She especially liked driving to Mexia to the credit union to see her good friend Brandi Jones (Brandon). She was a very God loving woman. Before she was sick, she loved going to church and singing in the choir and playing her tambourine. She knew the words to almost every church hymn. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Preceding Maxine in death were her parents, Pete & Dorothy Adams; husbands, Harvie Parrish and Bennie Dyer, as well as her sisters, Maudine & Shela and brothers, Jo Wayne and Jimmy.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathy Newland & husband Robert of Corsicana; step-daughter, Vicki Parrish of California; son, James Slater of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kris Newland & Life and Krystal Trusty & Meredith and sisters, Frances Barnett, Charlotte Ann Greogry and Janet Curry.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert Newland, Russell Warren, Kris Newland, Sidney Newland, George Mitchell and Bro Eric Larson.
