Viola was born on May 24, 1947 in Magnolia, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Archie Barnes Sr and Mary Louise Richmond.
Viola was an amazing friend, aunt, and sister who took care of her brothers and sisters. She worked at the Mexia State School for many years, where she made friends and lifelong connections. She was always eager to help anyone that needed it. Some will know her from her radio personality of Margaret. She was a self-proclaimed doctor with a cure for any ailment. Viola loved her coffee all day, everyday. She was a Texan at heart, with her love of westerns and western decor. She was an animal lover who took in strays without a thought. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Kindon and her parents; brothers Archie Jr and Lucky Albert Barnes and her sisters, Mary Jane Barnes and Sarah Louise Barnes.
She is survived by her sister, Sallie Martin (Terry), nephew, Lucky Barnes (LeAnne), nieces, Theresa McKinley (Todd), Terry Gray (Tyrone), Crystal Herbert (Justin), and many great-nephews and nieces. Also, by some close family friends Billy Patterson and Susie Burke.
