Wanda Louise Wright, 88 of Pt. Enterprise, passed away on December 14, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Pt. Enterprise Baptist Church with Reverend Don Morton, officiating. Interment will follow at Pt. Enterprise Cemetery. Family visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services.
Mrs. Wright was born on September 17, 1933 in Wortham, Texas to Peyton & Annie Ruth Teer Pruitt. She was retired as the Foreman & Head Seamstress with Southern Traditions. She was a member of Pt. Enterprise Baptist Church. In her younger years, she was a very good volleyball player. Wanda loved to sew, drink her dr. peppers and sweet tea. She enjoyed shopping, garage selling and watching her Dallas Cowboys. Most of all, Wanda loved her family dearly.
Preceding Wanda in death were her husband, Dewey C. Wright; parents, Peyton & Annie Pruitt; brothers, Curtis Pruitt, Peyton Pruitt, Jr. and Bobby Joe Pruitt; son-in-law, William Bozeman; daughter-in-law, Terri Wright; grandchild, Skylar Wright and great-grandchild, Triston Bozeman. She is survived by daughters, Jackie Darby & husband, Don of Mexia and Sharron Bozeman of Mexia; son, Steve Wright of Mexia; sister, Peggy Wright of Mexia; as well as nine grandchildren and numerous great & great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Wright, Troy Darby, Bill Bozeman, Cody Darby, Clint Bozeman and Jayson Wright.
