William Wayne Barber, 71, of Mexia, passed away on January 24, 2020 in Plano. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Mexia.
Mr. Barber was born on December 31, 1948 in Luling, Texas to Walter Estel & Martha Jane Von Cannon Barber. He had been in the community since 1985. He was a retired electrician with Haliburton. He was a proud member of many organizations such as the Wings of Joy, Country Gentlemen Quarter, Haunted Hallow Texas, the NRA, the Circuit Riders for Christ, a Boy Scouts troop leader and many more.
William was preceded in death by his son, William Wayne Barber Jr.; parents, Walter & Martha Barber; brother, Thomas Walter Barber & nephew, Earl Ray Barber. Survivors include his wife, Misty Barber of Mexia; daughter, Rachel Fowler & husband, Ricky of Mexia and grandsons, Christopher Ryan Barber Mexia, David George Hays of Mexia, Chance Alexander Fowler of Mexia and Christopher Lane Fowler & wife, Angela of Schertz, Texas.
