William Hastings

William “Bill” Leon Hastings, 70 of Teague, passed away on December 25, 2025, at Fairview Nursing Home in Fairfield.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel.

Bill was born on July 1, 1955, in Sour Lake, Texas to Leon & Mary Hastings.  He was an Electrician by trade and a member of the IBEW Union 479.  He loved being on the beach and water and spent the last four years living in Costa Rica, were he met great friends.  Bill was described as a big joker. 

Preceding Bill in death were his parents and his wife, Dorothy “DJ” Hastings.  Surviving him are his daughter, Shawna Lane & husband, Joey of Dew, Texas; James (Andy) Hastings and wife, Brittany of Warsaw, Indiana; one brother, one sister; grandchildren, Hunter Lane & wife, Ally, Madison Hudnell & husband, Dalton, Makaleigh Lewis & husband, Travis; Marlee Lane, Jaxson Hastings, Haiden Hastings and his dog, Sadie “Princess”.
